There is no laptop without a battery. Only an efficient battery - and not the size or weight of the device - can turn a laptop into a fully mobile device so you can make the most of it. All batteries have a specific lifespan, so what should you consider when choosing a laptop battery? Read on to find out more.
Battery name
The battery label is always found on the battery itself. To identify it, simply remove the battery from your computer and check the label. You can also try adapter for xiaomi laptop. In addition to other information, such as country of manufacture or warnings, the label also contains the battery code. Depending on the computer manufacturer, there are different configurations of letters and numbers.
Battery voltage
Finding a battery with the same code as the original does not mean choosing the correct battery. The second parameter to consider when choosing a battery is the voltage. Depending on the power requirements of the computer, manufacturers equip it with 10.8 V (or 11.1 V - both are compatible) or 14.4 V (or 14.8 V - both are compatible) batteries.
The voltage value is closely related to the number of cells in the battery: usually 10.8 V batteries - 6 cells, and 14.4 V - 8 cells. Checking the battery voltage parameters is an important step. Although the main voltage of laptop batteries is 10.8 V, sometimes manufacturers offer computers with higher voltage batteries. The problem is aggravated by the fact that one battery model (for example, the popular AS07B31 battery) may be available in two voltage versions (lower and higher voltage).
Battery capacity
The third parameter to consider when making a choice is the battery capacity. This is usually expressed in two units: mAh or Wh (milliampere-hours or watt-hours). Actually, the correct measure of cell capacity is mAh. 1 Ah means the capacity to supply 1 A of current to the device in question for 1 hour. Wh is the value that actually determines how long we can expect the battery to last (if we know the power requirements of a laptop in watts, for example, with a power consumption of 20 W, a 48 Wh battery is enough to power the computer for about 2.5 hours).
